This is a really cool Arch Top that’s an exceedingly unusual special order model L-5CES from 1969/70. It’s got a gorgeous rich Honey Sunburst finish over a nice grainy “carved” spruce top w/a round “Venetian” cutaway. It’s maple back & sides are outstandingly flamey. It’s beautiful full feeling & playing 5 piece maple neck sports 1 of the last Black Stingers w/out a volute w/a 1 11/16″ wide nut ! Its got a white bound Ebony fingerboard w/beautiful pearl block inlays. You get a killer variety of jazz tones thru its 2 Pat.# stickered Humbucking pickups. She got a set of  Gibson Kluson  Sealfast tuners. It’s sporting 4 original black Witchhat knobs & it has a fabulous original white bound Tortoise’gard. All of its Gold hardware is clean from its wooden base Tun-a-Matic bridge w/its nylon saddles to its cool L-5 trapeze tailpiece. It’s got a clean orange oval label perfectly intact that states the special ordered “L-5CES” model name. She’s got killer sustain & tone qualities.
