Description

This is a very interesting 1-off Vintage 1981 Gibson Gibson ES-335 its a factory “Moog Electronics Prototype” word has it was originally made for Roy Clark ! This is really Cool. This gorgeous Blonde Dot Neck w/a serial# 80051022 was made in Kalamazoo w/some very special specs. This 335N features a Flat Maple Top and Back w/no arch to it. Its has no F-Holes at all like a B.B. King model. Its got an unbound Dot Neck Fingerboard w/a complete MOOG Active Electronic system (as used in the RD Artist Models), built originally w/a Stop-Tail Piece now having an added Bigsby vibrato. It was supposedly custom made for Roy Clark of Hee Haw fame. This is a prototype for a model that never went into production, which makes this a rare 1 of 1 instrument. This ES-335 plays and sounds Great ! The MOOG Electronics are somewhat subtle. The Compression sounds awesome. In the case is a small diagram of the switches and knobs that control the MOOG Electronics. It’s 1 of a kind & a fabulous investment. She’s near mint & comes in its original black hard case.
