1995 Ovation 1581-5 "Kaki King" Model

Ovation was proud to introduce this new Adamas 1581-5 in 1995 in which Kaki King started to use & made her main stay model. Kaki has played Adamas guitars for most of her amazing musical career & Ovation decided to make the exact custom guitar Kaki plays on stage which was not offered as part of Ovation’s new line-up until 2010. It’s got a beautiful Black Top w/Gold Sparkles sporting its very cool White Kaki King sound hole rings w/her signature “Crown” inlay in its 12th fret. Adamas guitars w/its HexFX EQ pickup system were a perfect fit for Kaki’s unique playing style. From her imaginative open tunings, to percussive rhythms on the body or to her startling use of the entire fingerboard range – Kaki brings out the best in what Adamas guitars have to offer. This exact guitar was originally 1 of Kaki’s very own personal guitars & given to a local client back in the early 2000’s. Hence there is no proof nor are we stating this to be exactly true, but here-say states it as it has her very own distinctive White painted logo on the top of its original hard case that no others have. It’s excellent in all respects & could be traced back if one wants to do so. Maybe Ovation records show this. Otherwise it’s a very rare early example ready to enjoy.
