1980 Jose Ramirez "Yepes" model 1a 10-String Classical guitar

This is a José Ramírez “Yepes” 1a model 10-string classical guitar from 1980, featuring Indian rosewood back and sides with a cedar top. The guitar shows wear consistent with a well-maintained instrument, used only sparingly. It has very minor superficial dings, but overall, it remains in excellent condition. This beast of a instrument sports 4 extra lower strings to be used as either “sympathetic” strings (which are not meant to be played but the overtones of the extra strings balance the sound more harmonically than a standard 6 string guitar) or as lower bass notes. This is perfect for Baroque or Classical music that requires a lower register without ruining the intentions of the composer. Many famous guitarist including Narciso Yepes religiously played on this instrument for years, and this is your opportunity to own one. Built with a solid Cedar top and solid Indian Rosewood back and sides, and a ridiculously sturdy Mahogany neck, this is how a guitar should sound ! A fine guitar in all ways.
