Description
This is a really cool very early production 1950 Gibson ES-350 made starting from the late 40’s. Its pretty much pre-dates its sibling, the more expensive L-5CES w/down graded appointments that was perhaps a more affordable version. It’s got a gorgeous nicely faded Dark Sunburst finish over a nice maple top & back w/a Venetian cutaway. Its beautiful feeling & playing 3 piece maple neck feels fabulous. Its got a white bound rosewood fingerboard w/double parallelogram inlays. You get a killer variety of jazz tones thru its 2 black P-90 pickups. She currently sporting a set of replica double-line Gibson Kluson Deluxe tuners w/no mods. She’s got a rare pair of original clear see-thru knobs w/nop #’s & it’s missing its original Tortoise’gard. All of its hardware is clean from its wooden base bridge to its cool 175/L-7 type gold trapeze tailpiece. Its body code ink stamped inside its F Hole makes it c.1950-1. These had no labels. She’s got killer sustain & tone qualities. Other than some slight play time & some weatherchecking, she’s excellent overall & comes in a nice original brown tolex/Green lined hard case.
