Description

The Broadcaster, Nocaster & Telecaster guitars are the original solid body guitars produced by Leo Fender. Originally most were painted in a Blonde finish w/maple neck. This is a fabulous 1 family owned Telecaster since being sold to its last caretaker, a Mr. Gary McElroy, for $800. when living in Hawaii way back on September 21st 1976. Gary knew it was special since he overpaid for it back in the day. It’s an original example sporting its early 50’s see-thru White/Blonde finish which is quite clean & very much like the early Broadcaster finishes w/a bit of that outer ‘burst. It’s pretty unfaded & beautiful. Its characteristics are typical “Broadcaster” period w/its outer blonde’burst showing around its ash body edges & definite sinkage of its finish deep into the grain of its ash body. It also has the late c.1951 added center route for ease of pickup installation that remained forever as the earliest Broadcasters did not have this. Its original Maple Neck is dated March 19th, 1952 w/Tadeo Gomez’s “TG” markings on the neck & inside its neck pocket albeit, it’s very hard to see. Shes also been refretted many years back & the top of the fingerboard was oversprayed w/a vintage repro “Broadcaster” logo must have been installed at that time that looks almost original. It also sports an its fabulous original “Black Bakelite’gard” that compliments its finish well. Its original Kluson tuners are long gone as we removed a set of newer Schaller tuners & replaced them w/another set of clean mid-50’s Kluson Deluxe single line tuners that cover all extra holes & now appear rather original looking. Its 4-digit serial # is stamped on its Pat. Pending bridge & its original blank 4-bolt neck back plate is still in place. Mostly Flat Head screws all over. You can see TG in the neck pocket hard to see the rest so no date in the bridge cavity. Loaded w/its original great sounding pair of potent pickups. It has pots dating to the 48th week of 1957 now installed w/its original 3-way switch. The original cloth wiring has been replaced w/some cool repro vintage cloth wire now appearing as original. Now is the time to get a real 1952 Telecaster for like 1/2 the price of what others are asking today. It comes complete w/a bridge cover & the original 3 way in its pocket of its original Brown tolex poodle shaped hard case.
