Description
The Precision Bass is 1 of the original solid body Bass guitars produced by Leo Fender. This is a fabulous 1 family owned P Bass since being sold to its last caretaker, a Mr. Archie R. from Toronto Canada. Archie knew it was special since he overpaid for it back in the early 2000’s. It’s an original example sporting its early 50’s see-thru White/Blonde finish which is extremely clean & very much like the earliest Telecaster finishes. It’s pretty unfaded & beautiful w/only the slightest yellowing & some very nice weather checking. Its characteristics are typical 1952-3 w/its definite blue vein grain pattern on its ash body. Its original Maple Neck has perfect factory frets & a superb clean finish all over. Its pencil dated February 13th, 1953 w/Tadeo Gomez’s “TG” markings on the butt end of the neck & February 9th, 1953 signed by “Bill” (maybe Bill Carson) inside its neck pocket. It also sports a fabulous original “Black Bakelite’gard” that compliments its finish well. Its original Kluson tuners hold tune perfectly are clean as all the nickel parts are on this fabulous find. Its 4-digit serial # 1349 is stamped on its Pat. Pending bridge still sporting its black hard rubber saddles & its original blank 4-bolt neck back plate is still in place. Loaded w/its original great sounding potent single coil pickup. It has pots dating to the 18th week of 1952 still retaining its original cloth wiring all over. It’s absolutely 1 of the best left in existence & comes complete w/its original pickup & bridge cover w/a decent 70’s hard case.
