Description
This is a wonderful example of what millions of fans saw 1st hand, this is the most desirable version of a Double Cutaway & Double Flip Mute 1962 Gretsch 6122 Country Gent as played by George Harrison of the Fab 4 for several years. George’s most memorial concerts were when playing an identical Gent as this Icon. Its has a distinctive see-thru Walnut stain over some super grainy maple all over its front, back & sides. Its headstock features the Gretsch T logo, its serial #’d medallion making it from 1962, Neo-Classic Thumbnail inlaid ebony fingerboard, a set of powerful Filter’trons, Gold hardware & pickup bezels, Gold lucite’gard, G’s w/an arrow knobs, Grover Imperial stair step tuners & its cool “V” Cutout Bigsby vibrato. This is the most well known guitar of this Beatle period used on some of the best Beatle songs ever coming from this short early 60’s period. It’s truly excellent in all respects w/great bindings all over but only missing its original back pad. She comes complete w/its original gray tolex w/white dots/red lined hard case.
