1982 Gibson Les Paul Std.

This is a killer example of Gibson’s early 80’s idea of a standardized Les Paul Std. would be. It’s deep Cherry’burst finish is quite lovely over a nice maple top with plenty of play time patina & a cool period decal. Its see-thru cherry red finish on the back, sizes & neck tons of frickin cool play time as its reminiscent of a full blown Murphy Aged Heavy Relic but was enjoyed with every nick & buckle mark. She’s sporting 2 pat.# stamped Tim Shaw pickups, original pots, a Nashville bridge & stop tailpiece. Its Tuners hold tune well. At this time Gibson was bitched at thru the 70’s for using 2 piece sandwiched bodies, but this one having an early solid 1 piece mahogany body w/a great feeling 1 piece Mahogany neck. She’s played a ton & she’s got some incredible natural wear you know she’s a great one ! She comes w/a decent original “chainsaw” hard case.
