Description
-
John Greven, an American master who has been making custom guitars for musicians & collector’s worldwide for the past 50 years. He’s a well -known master craftsman among all famous flat top makers. It’s a fabulous copy of Martin’s 000-28 Herringbone w/a stunning scalloped braced spruce top having spectacular Bear Claw around its top showing off the abalone rosette & ‘bone top border. Its back & sides are made from the pretty striped Indian Rosewood. The original seam on the back was reglued as it may have opened up at some time. Its mahogany neck has some major capo marks along the back side. Its bound ebony fingerboard has 30’s style alternating inlays. Its tortiose’gard & small belly bridge are very Martin-like. Its Gotah tuners hold tune well. It’s sporting one of Greven’s mid-90’s labels from his Portland location. No cracks at all. She sings w/tons of bass response & piano-like high notes making anyone happy to own her. She’s excellent overall & comes in its original black hard case.
